Full Description:

Orlando Garden Club Invites You...

Come GROW with us! The Orlando Garden Club is looking for some new members. If you're interested in obtaining more information, give us a call and join us at the monthly meetings of the Orlando Garden Club on the 3rd Friday of the month (unless otherwise posted) during the months of SEP thru MAY.

9:30 am (doors open), 10:30 am (program starts). Free Admission, free parking.

Orlando Garden Club has been actively improving the Central Florida environment since 1926. The organization serves many purposes in the community, but its roots are in the protection and nourishment of the environment. The men and women who join the Orlando Garden Club do so to stimulate and increase their knowledge of the many aspects of gardening. The protection of native plants and wildlife also is a major objective, as well as encouraging civic planting to better and beautify Central Florida's tomorrow.

Special events dot our calendar throughout the year. One of our major annual events is the Flower Show, which has won state and national awards for excellence. Christmas Tree Lane is a special event in which members and community vendors display their goods that include handmade gifts, baked goods, and landscape and garden plants. Proceeds from our events benefit students through scholarships. Other events may include card parties, a fashion show, and much more.

Monthly meetings include educational and entertaining guest speakers discussing current topics. Because of its many members, the garden club is divided into "circles." Some circles may represent a geographic area, making it easier for members to meet, exchange ideas and visit one another. Most of the circles have their group meetings once monthly during daylight hours, yet there is one evening circle available. Additionally, there are committees which meet on a regular basis to accomplish established goals.

No matter what your individual interest, there are programs and activities that will excite you. And you can do it along with friends - both old and new. If you love gardening and wildlife. If you desire to increase your knowledge about nature. If you want a better environment. The Orlando Garden Club is the organization for you.
